Kent sits inside King County, so home prices run well above San Antonio and your square footage shrinks — the four-bedroom you had off 1604 becomes a tighter footprint here. The upside is that Kent is one of the more attainable footholds in metro Seattle, noticeably gentler than Seattle or Bellevue proper, and like Texas, Washington charges no state income tax.
