How we plan healthcare moves
A clinic move has two halves, and the most useful thing we can do is be clear about which half is ours. The first half is the clinical equipment: chairs with plumbing, imaging units, sterilizers, analyzers, anything with a calibration record or a service contract. That belongs to the manufacturer's technician or your equipment vendor, who disconnects it, releases it, and signs off on reinstalling it. The second half is everything else, and that is what our crews move: front-desk and waiting-room furniture, exam-room casework that is not plumbed in, break rooms, provider offices, supply shelving, and the boxes that fill all of it.
Patient schedules drive the date. Most practices want to see patients through Friday, move over the weekend, and open Monday with the front desk working and at least a few rooms ready. We plan backwards from that first appointment: which rooms have to be usable first, which can wait, and where the vendor's reinstall fits between our deliveries.
Records and anything with patient information stay under the practice's control. Charts, drives, and locked cabinets move sealed the way your staff hands them to us, and your office manager decides what travels on our truck and what staff carry themselves.
San Antonio's medical buildings bring their own rules. Medical office buildings around the South Texas Medical Center and the newer clinic corridors in Stone Oak, Schertz, and along I-10 toward Boerne usually require a Certificate of Insurance, a reserved freight elevator, and a move window that keeps a shared lobby clear for other tenants' patients. Send us the building packet early; some managers want it weeks ahead.

Another question? Call (830) 329-7272.
Who disconnects and reinstalls our clinical equipment?
Your equipment vendor or the manufacturer's technician. Anything plumbed, calibrated, or under a service contract should be released by the people who service it. Once they release a unit, we can move it if they want us to, and we schedule our deliveries so their reinstall visit lands when the room is ready.
Can we see patients on Friday and reopen on Monday?
That is the most common plan. We work backwards from your first Monday appointment, decide which rooms have to be ready first, and use the weekend for the bulk of the move. The written plan shows what arrives when, so your vendor reinstall and your staff setup fit around it.
How are charts and records handled during the move?
They stay under your practice's control. Your office manager decides what our crew carries and what your staff transport themselves, and anything sealed or locked moves exactly as it is handed over. We do not open, sort, or inventory the contents of records boxes.
