Planning a Spa Move

In a spa, the treatment rooms and the product shelves answer to different people. A table may look identical to its neighbor, but its accessories, linens, and cart belong to a particular service room. Product stock needs a separate map, with unopened backbar supplies apart from retail units and testers. Your operations manager sets those assignments before packing begins.

We can move freestanding tables, stools, carts, mirrors, reception pieces, and labeled cartons into the rooms you identify. Your staff decides which opened products travel and counts saleable stock; we follow its labels without changing the inventory. Installed tubs and showers belong on the trade schedule, which determines when new wet rooms can receive furnishings. We plan around your treatment calendar and room release, whether your spa is crossing San Antonio or relocating toward Boerne or Kerrville. If some rooms stay booked while others clear, we carry during the gaps between services and stage away from the rooms still in use.

Work backward from the final booked treatment and the first appointments planned at the new address; allow separate access for wet-area trades and stock checking.

What typically moves

  • Freestanding treatment tables and face cradles Table accessories stay identified with their treatment room; your equipment provider confirms any preparation required for powered models.
  • Esthetician stools and mobile treatment carts We empty rolling carts and mark drawers or trays to the room where staff will restock them.
  • Linen cabinets and towel shelving Movable units travel empty; folded linens are packed by treatment room or laundry area.
  • Retail product displays and boxed stock Shelves and cartons carry destination and stock-group labels; your staff maintains the item count.
  • Backbar products and treatment supplies Your treatment lead sorts sealed stock, opened items, and testers before cartons are closed.
  • Reception counter, consultation seating, and mirrors Freestanding pieces are measured against the guest entrance and placed to your new floor plan.

Access and scheduling

Each treatment room can close on its own schedule, after its last booked service. A room still serving guests needs its table, cart, and linens until staff releases it. Ask about an evening or weekend window after your team has time to count and close product cartons. At the destination, identify rooms ready for furnishings and keep wet-area work off the carry route until the trade releases that space.

A spa in a shared retail center may have a narrow storefront door and limited loading hours. An upper-floor suite may need elevator access, protected common halls, and a Certificate of Insurance. We check table turns at doorways and choose a place to stage stock away from guest circulation. Your owner confirms room assignments and trade appointments. If a room is delayed, we can change the placement order instead of putting cartons in a work area.

Protection and handling

Treatment tables need care for the upholstery and mechanisms below it. Your staff removes oils, bowls, warming accessories, and loose supplies before wrapping. We protect the surface, secure movable sections according to the table instructions, and keep face cradles and bolsters with their assigned room. A powered table follows its equipment provider preparation directions before our crew handles it.

Glass display shelves, mirrors, and product bottles travel apart from their fixtures. Your staff decides which liquids to pack and closes the cartons; we keep retail stock, backbar stock, and testers in labeled groups. At the new address, we place tables and cabinets before product cartons, keeping the corridor clear. The spa team checks counts and restocks each station. Installed wet-area fixtures stay with the trade, and we leave room around them while placing movable pieces.

Who does what

Some of this job belongs to other trades. The written plan names each one.

Installed soaking tubs, showers, and their building connections
Your licensed plumbing and electrical trades disconnect and reconnect the applicable water and electrical connections, assess reuse, and install fixtures. We place nearby furnishings after they release the work area.
Powered or serviced treatment tables
Your equipment provider gives preparation and transport instructions, then handles setup and testing. We review those instructions before carrying a released table.
Product counts and opened treatment stock
Your spa team chooses what travels, records quantities, and seals cartons. We carry labeled stock groups to their assigned shelves.

Not part of our work

  • Disconnecting or reconnecting water or electrical service to tubs and showers; your licensed trades handle it.
  • Removing installed wet-room finishes or assessing whether a tub or shower can be reused; your contractor handles that.
  • Counting products or approving opened liquids for transport; those decisions stay with your spa team.

Around San Antonio and the Hill Country

San Antonio spas sit in day-spa centers in Alamo Heights and Stone Oak, in medical suites near the South Texas Medical Center, and in north-side resorts that may share a hotel dock. Summer heat in a parked truck is hard on oils, waxes, and lotions, so between May and September product cartons load early and heat-sensitive stock waits until the truck is ready.

Spa Moving FAQs

Another question? Call (830) 329-7272.

How should we label treatment tables when several rooms use the same model?

Give each room a destination name and apply it to the table, face cradle, bolsters, and nearby cart. Your treatment lead confirms the setup before wrapping begins. We keep those pieces together through unloading and place them in the named room. Staff can then arrange linens and supplies for the services scheduled there.

Can retail products and backbar stock travel in the same cartons?

Separate them before packing. Your team knows which units are for sale, which are used during treatments, and which opened items should stay behind. Mark cartons by stock group and destination shelf, with your quantity record kept by staff. We carry the closed cartons to those locations for your team to check and restock.

When can treatment-room furniture enter a new wet room?

Ask the contractor responsible for that room to confirm when surfaces and installed fixtures are ready for moving traffic. Share that release point before scheduling placement. We can place tables and storage in other ready rooms first, then bring wet-room furnishings through after the trade clears its work area and your manager approves the layout.

What should we do with open oils, lotions, and product testers?

Your treatment lead decides which containers are suitable to move and closes or removes them before our crew handles nearby furnishings. Keep opened supplies apart from sealed retail stock, and label cartons by room. We can carry those closed cartons as assigned; your staff checks their contents and sets up the treatment stations after arrival.
